Soon my cadences will be available in MusicXML format, in addition to PDF. MusicXML is useful when you need to modify a piece of music, maybe to accomodate four bass drums instead of five.
Newer versions of Finale and Sibelius come with support for it built in. Even Finale Reader can open them, though you can only print with it, not make changes to the music.
In order to make MusicXML happen I had to put my programming hat back on in order to expand the capabilities of my composition tools, using the spec as a guide. It's almost 100% complete.
