Hi All
Jan 07 2012
You might be excited to know that over the past few months I've been revising short12c. As much as I'd like to tell you it's almost done, I'm afraid I can't ... I just don't know. It started as a 12 measure piece and has grown to 20 measures which seems like a good thing to me. The 160bpm fast rolling groove from the beginning is still there and I've been working hard to improve the overall cohesion.
If you've subscribed to my email newsletter, you'll be the first to know when I complete it.
Grahvy
Feb 02 2011
You remember my Grahvy cadence, right? If not, see my Grahvy and Cavies entry below for an audio preview...
Regarding Grahvy, changes have been made. The phrase at ~19 seconds in the audio preview (right after the snare solo) got the axe. I feel the phrase was ... well ... too cute. It was out of place, a bit too hoppy-boppy, so now it's gone. I ripped it out, extended the snare solo and transitioned into a strong bass featurette.
In all I put down about 10 measures of new groundwork, which helps this piece maintain it's badass status ... in my humble opinion.
My Cavaliers cadence is finished: cav93bk3
Oct 09 2010
I give you my newest cadence, cav93bk3, named after the wav file that inspired it. I downloaded the file in the late 90s from Gridit's Home Page (available now only through the Wayback Machine). The file featured an excerpt of the 1993 Cavaliers book. More backstory on the piece here.
Many visitors seemed to like my previous revision (find it below) but this one has a new beginning, rewritten to avoid copyright issues. Hope you like it!

I'm flattered that many of you want me to finish my Cavaliers cadence and my indoor show. 41% of respondents told me to finish the cadence, and 27% told me to finish the show. Wow!
The affection for the rest of my pieces seems more evenly spread. About the same number of people have said they love my new street beat as have said "yuck", "like it", or "it's ok". Maybe a trend will emerge with more feedback.
So, have you mentioned Flam Swiss to anyone yet? Please do. It's the only way I'll be able to keep this up.
A Street Beat (affectionately called Hasty)
Updated: Aug 05 2010
Expanded the preview to 45 seconds of my level-4 street beat ... snare and bass parts only. Hope you enjoy.
(As always, it sounds best with headphones)

It's time to post a preview of Grahvy. The difficulty should probably be 5 out of 5 because of the bass part. You'll see what I mean. Listen to it below.
To avoid legal issues with my Cavies cadence, I'm rewriting the beginning and any parts that are obvious transcriptions of the 1993 book. The beginning is turning out to be funkier than the original, but I'm liking it.
I present to you, Grahvy. (As always, it sounds best with headphones)
